A
strong partnership between the school and home is essential if a
quality educational program is to be provided to all students. The
Caesar Rodney School District is dedicated to the philosophy that
parent involvement is integral to the success of each child. The
District and schools will work with parents/caregivers to establish
regular, two-way meaningful communication to ensure that:
• parents/caregivers play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning;
• parents/caregivers are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education at
school;
•
parents/caregivers are full partners in their child’s education and are
included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees
to assist in the education of their child
Parent involvement
may be defined as, but is not limited to: parenting, communicating,
learning and home, volunteering, decision-making, and collaborating
with the community.
The Caesar Rodney School District will
continue to build its capacity for strong parental involvement. The
District will support a partnership between its schools,
parents/caregivers, and the community to improve student academic
achievement and school performance.
